German Pilsners are a crowd-pleasing, hoppy pleasure. Pouring a shade of golden honey, they are clean and crisp with a firm body, and have a drier finish than their Czech counterpart. For Schadenfreude, German hop trio Tettnang, Saphir and Perle provide a floral aroma, and flavours of tangerine and subtle spice. It’s refreshing and full-flavoured with an assertive, satisfying bitterness.
